"My friends and I are all at that point where... we have to ask ourselves 'do you want your legacy to be a closet full of great clothes or something more?' It is important for my friends to understand why I want to become a philanthropist." - Karen Moore, 1K Club member since May 2010

What members say about the 1K Club
"When I joined the 1K Club I looked at it like this: it's equivalent to a dinner every month or a pair of shoes. I wrapped it into my personal budget." Aimee Carter, 1K Club Co-Chair. Member since June 2008
"I decided to join for the networking opportunities, the donor education events and because joining allowed me to bring a friend to the Leadership Luncheon." Pam Feinstein, 1K Club member since April 2008
"I can give monthly, but there are a whole lot of other opportunities for me to expand -- it's almost like a primer into philanthropy. You learn how to be an effective giver -- I like that structure." Mary Jo Speier, 1K Club member since October 2008
Please join today and share the vision of a thriving community in which women and girls of all backgrounds have the opportunity to reach their full potential, to be economically secure and to learn the importance of giving back.
