Rainmakers Giving Circle

Background
Launched in 2003, The Women's Foundation's Rainmakers Giving Circle’s mission is to improve the lives of young women in the Washington metropolitan area by supporting programs that foster their empowerment, self-esteem and ability to achieve their full potential. The Rainmakers Giving Circle supports programs for young women and girls (10-21) that encourage the healthy development of and prevention of risk factors among young women and girls. The Rainmakers focus on programs that empower and increase competence among young women and girls in the areas of employment, education, health, and life skills.  The Rainmakers contribute to programs where the grants make a significant impact in the continuation, expansion or enhancement of the program.

Rainmakers Giving Circle members commit to give $5,000 each to the giving circle over two years.

To date, the Rainmakers have invested more than $360,000 in nonprofits supporting young women throughout the Washington metropolitan area.
